Blackburn UK Trust was established in 1998 but formerly registered in 2004
The aim of Blackburn Trust are to help the poor & needy people all over the world. Particularly focusing in India, we work very actively in West Bengal, Rajasthan and Maharashtra. West Bengal has a population of around 80 million people and the vast majority live in extreme poverty. On average a person only has the clothing he/she is wearing and therefore, an essential part of our work is to provide some of life’s basic needs. We aim to help by providing food, water pumps, education, clothing and equipment such as rickshaws, sewing machines etc. to make the people more self-sufficient. We started helping with your support to put young children in to education for Hafez class/sponsor orphans/ build a house for a poor family and sponsor families with food packs etc.
We build Masjids within communities with help of your Lillah and distribute your zakaat and sadaqah in the correct and right places.
As you can imagine we all have to give accountability for our deeds in this world, therefore a very crucial part of Blackburn UK Trust is to ensure every single penny is accounted for and spent in the correct place. All evidence is uploaded on to this website or sent personally to individual in the event of not being known for their good deeds. In order to fulfil our aim, we have very dedicated volunteers like Mufti Saleh Saheb and Soly Bhai Makda (May Allah keep them steadfast in this work) to ensure they fulfil our promise of helping the poor. It is also the responsibility of an individual once they have dedicated to ensure your funds are spent in the correct way.
The Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) said: “Every Muslim has to give in charity.” The people then asked: “(But what) if someone has nothing to give, what should he do?” The Prophet replied: “He should work with his hands and benefit himself and also give in charity (from what he earns).” The people further asked: “If he cannot find even that?” He replied: “He should help the needy who appeal for help.” Then the people asked: “If he cannot do (even) that?” The Prophet said finally: “Then he should perform good deeds and keep away from evil deeds, and that will be regarded as charitable deeds.” (Sahih Al-Bukhari, Volume 2, Hadith 524)
